Description

The Frilly Grass Tubeworm Moth (Acrolophus mycetophagus) is a moth of the Acrolophidae family. It was described by Davis in 1990. It is found in North America, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. The wingspan is 16–17 mm. The forewings are white with a band of dark scales across the median area. The hindwings are dark brownish-gray. The larvae are thought to feed on fungi.
