Description

Ceryx sphenodes is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It was described by Meyrick in 1886. It is found in New Guinea and Australia (Queensland). The moth is about 20 mm. Adults are black with transparent windows in the wings and a black and yellow banded abdomen. The hindwings are only about half the span of the forewings.
