Description

Marecidia achrysa is a moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It was described by William Trowbridge Merrifield Forbes in 1939. It is found in Panama. The wingspan is about 30 mm. The forewings are deep black, with a green basal spot and a deep crimson elliptical spot below the cell. The costal half of the hindwings is covered with dull brown sex-scaling in males. Females have a whitish spot in the cell.
