Description

Balaana latelimbata is a species of Diptera first described by Jacques-Marie-Frangile Bigot in 1892. Balaana latelimbata belongs to the genus Balaana, and the family Bombyliidae. None of these subspecies are listed. Balaana is a genus of flies belonging to the family Bombyliidae (bee-flies). There are about seven described species, including three from western Australia. These are robust and very hairy flies with a body length of 10–18 mm (0.4–0.7 in).
