Description

Bucculatrix gossypiella is a moth in the Bucculatricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Mexico. The wingspan is 5–8 mm. The forewings are white with black and light brown scale markings. The hindwings are ochreous white. The larvae feed on cotton. They bore in the woody or hard tissue of the host plant, such as stalks, branches, leaf petioles and larger leaf veins as well as in the leaf blades and bracts.
