Description

Bellardia bayeri a species of the spiny flycatcher andthe subfamily Calliphorinae. This species was described in 1937 by D. Jacentkovski as Onesia bayeri. A small fly with dark brown dots in the upper part of the parafacials. The trunk scales are light beige, evenly tinted. Male reproductive organs are small and are distinguished by abdominal pituitary glands that are longer than that of Surstiles. Palearctic insect, also dragged to the north-eastern part of North America. In Europe, known from Great Britain, Norway, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. Further east recorded from the Middle East and eastern Palearctic.
