Description

Crambus satrapellus is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Zincken in 1821. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas. The range extends to Brazil in the south. The wingspan is about 21 mm. The forewings are light golden brown with a silvery-white stripe. The hindwings are white to pale yellowish. Adults are on wing from July to September in most of North America, but year round in Florida.
