Description

Crambus whitmerellus, or Whitmer's grass-veneer, is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by Klots in 1942. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. The habitat consists of grassland areas. The wingspan is 21–27 mm. The forewings are yellowish brown with a pearly-white costal edge and a silvery-white median stripe. The hindwings are light grayish brown. Adults are on wing in late June and July in one generation per year. The larvae probably feed on grasses.
