It is found in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, North Africa (including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco), Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Israel. The wingspan is about 17.5 mm.
