Description

Nordstromia recava is a moth in the family Drepanidae. It was described by Watson in 1968. It is found in the Chinese provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu. The length of the forewings is 15.5-19.5 mm for males and 18-18.5 mm for females. The ground colour of both the forewings and hindwings is pale lustrous grey, densely irrorated (sprinkled) with longer scales, the latter pale greyish brown at the base and greyish white distally. The costa is orange buff and the apical part of the outer margin and costal patches are dark brown. The fascia are yellowish brown with a yellow distal border to the postmedial fascia, and a yellow proximal border to the antemedial fascia.
