Description

gaocephala mannerheimi is a beetle belonging to the family Scarabaeidae. They are housed in the subfamily Hornbills (Dynastinae). A medium-sized (preferably 35-40 millimeters), broad, powerful, slightly dull horn beetle. Head and forebody are matt copper-like metallic colored, cover wings yellow-brown with dark seam stripe, semi-gloss. The male has two upwardly curved horns in the forehead (one on each side), on the pronotum a middle keel that grows higher forward and ends as a protrusion, the female lacks these. The pronotum is barely visibly punctured. The cover wings are irregular, rather roughly punctured, not with dot rows
