Description

Elachista triatomea is a moth of the family Elachistidae. It is found in Ireland, Great Britain, Fennoscandia, Denmark, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. The wingspan is 8–9 millimetres (0.31–0.35 in).Head white. Forewings white, with some scattered fuscous scales, especially posteriorly ; plical and second discal stigmata black, distinct. Hindwings in male grey, in female grey-whitish. Adults are on wing from June to July. The larvae mine blades of Festuca species, including Festuca ovina, Festuca rubra and Festuca tenuifolia.
