Battaristis parazela

Description

Battaristis parazela is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1929. It is found in Brazil (Para). The wingspan is about 7 mm. The forewings are white, partially slightly tinged ochreous and with an irregular oblique dark fuscous mark crossing the fold at one-fourth and an irregular dark fuscous spot on the end of the cell, and one just before it on the fold. There is a dark fuscous costal streak from before the middle to the apex, cut by fine very oblique whitish strigulae at the middle and three-fourths. There is also some undefined fuscous suffusion on the tornus, with one or two slight blackish strigulae above it, one at the apex, and one beneath the apex. The hindwings are grey.
