Description

Chionodes grandis is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from southern Manitoba and southern British Columbia to California and New Mexico. The wingspan is 11–13 mm. The forewings are dark purplish fuscous with ill-defined blackish-fuscous spots on the fold, at the basal fourth, in the center of the cell and at the end of cell. There is a small, indistinct, pale spot at the apical third on the costa. The hindwings are shining greyish fuscous.
