Description

Symbolistis argyromitra is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1904. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from New South Wales. The wingspan is 9–10 mm. The forewings are whitish, the dorsal half ochreous-tinged and more or less irrorated with dark fuscous. The stigmata are dark fuscous, rather obscure, with the plical obliquely beyond the first discal. There is a wedge-shaped dark fuscous blotch, suffused beneath with yellow-ochreous, along the costa from the middle to three-fourth, acute anteriorly. There is also some ochreous suffusion towards the apex, edged on the costa with blackish. The hindwings are grey.
