Description

Syncopacma albipalpella is a moth of the Gelechiidae family. It is found from Germany to Spain and Italy and from Great Britain to Austria. The wingspan is 9–11 mm. Adults are on wing in July. The larvae feed on Lotus corniculatus, Lotus uliginosus, Medicago and Trifolium species. They live among spun leaves and mine the leaves from this position by gnawing irregular, more or less oval holes in the epidermis. Larvae can be found from September to June. They are dull crimson with a light yellowish-brown head.
