Description

Atethmia ambusta is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found in Central Europe (missing in northern Germany) and parts of Southern Europe to Western Asia (Turkey to Syria). The wingspan is 25–27 mm. Adults are on wing from September to November. Recorded food plants of the larvae include the leaves of Malus and Pyrus species. Atethmia is a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae. The genus was erected by Jacob Hübner in 1821.
