Antaeotricha cycnomorpha

Description

Antaeotricha cycnomorpha is a moth in the family Depressariidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1925. It is found in Brazil. The wingspan is about 20 mm. The forewings are shining white with a short oblique blackish mark on the base of the costa. The discal stigmata are blackish, remote, a roundish blackish spot above the first. Short connected dark grey streaks are found on veins 2-4 towards the base, and a dorsal dash is found below these. There is a strongly curved series from the costa beyond the middle to the tornus of cloudy fuscous neural spots on the upper part and short neural dashes on the lower part interrupted on vein 8. There is also a marginal series of blackish linear marks around the posterior part of the costa and termen. The hindwings are ochreous-white, with a wedge-shaped dark grey apical spot and the costa dilated on the anterior half, with a strong projecting fringe of dark grey outwardly white hairscales from one-fifth to two-thirds.
