Depressaria petronoma

Description

Depressaria petronoma is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1934. It is found in Japan. The wingspan is about 14 mm. The forewings are light greyish ochreous, suffusedly sprinkled grey with slight pinkish tinge and with a short blackish-grey dash beneath the costal edge in the middle. There are some short scattered blackish-grey linear marks, the plical and second discal stigmata indicated by obscure dots, a clearer space in the disc between these and there is a series of cloudy blackish-grey dots around the apical part of the costa and termen. The hindwings are light grey, darker posteriorly.
