Description

Gnathotona thermopsamma is a moth in the Depressariidae family, and the only species in the genus Gnathotona. It was described by Meyrick in 1931 and is found in Paraguay. The wingspan is about 17 mm. The forewings are ferruginous-ochreous with the dorsal area suffused whitish-ochreous, with a few scattered blackish specks. The hindwings are whitish.
