Description

Paralecta electrophanes is a moth in the Xyloryctidae family. It was described by Meyrick in 1930. It is found in Malaysia. The wingspan is about 22 mm. The forewings are light violet-grey, the base suffused white, the costal edge white, on the basal fourth more broadly suffused white. There is a triangular blotch of darker greyish-violet sntfusion on the dorsum before the middle, enclosing a faint ochreous-whitish erect wedge-shaped spot on the dorsum. There is also a greyish-violet angulated shade crossing the wing at two-thirds and an undefined terminal fascia of violet suffusion. The hindwings are dark grey.
