Description

Delias caeneus is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. It was described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. It is found in the Australasian realm. The wingspan is about 70–76 mm. The red markings on the hindwings are more developed than in any other member of the hyparete group. Furthermore, unlike any other member, there is a red patch at the end of the cell on the hindwing verso.
