Description

Tirathaba parasiticus is a species of moths of the family Pyralidae. It was described by Lucas in the year 1898. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland and New South Wales. The wingspan is about 35 mm. The forewings are brown with two faint roundish marks, and a dark area near the base. The hindwings are pale brown, darkening toward the wingtips. The larvae are carnivorous, and are internal parasitoids of other larvae such as Cryptophaga species.
