Description

Erinnyis guttularis is a species of moth in the family Sphingidae. It was described by Francis Walker in 1856. It is known from Cuba, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. It is the smallest species of the Erinnyis genus. The hindwing upperside is almost uniformly brown. The anal area of hindwing underside white. The forewing upperside similar to that of Erinnyis ello ello females but with an evident narrow median longitudinal black streak. Adults are probably on wing year round. The larvae probably feed on Carica papaya, Jatropha and Allamanda species.
