(Anas wyvilliana)
Both sexes have a mottled plumed plumage,the appearance is very similar to that of the female of the mallard ( Anas platyrhynchos ) only a little darker.In the male the chin and the nape are dark brown stained,some specimens have gradations tending to greenish in the area around the eyes and the auricular regions.Most females usually have a yellow leather eyebrow and a contrasting dark eye line.The mirror of the remigating feathers is green-blue,edged in both of white.The legs of both sexes are orange.The beak is olive in males,orange or greyish in the middle in the female.
