Description

L ' toad Apennine or toad Italian ( Apennine yellow-bellied toad ( Bonaparte,1838 ) ) is an amphibious anuran the family Bombinatoridae,previously considered endemic of' Italy,but currently considered a synonym of Bombina varied.The skin is rough for small glandular growths.The pupil has a heart shape.The dorsal part has a rather cryptic color,brownish with gray hues and dark patches of very variable extension.The belly is yellow speckled with black.Usually,in the region of the chest,there are two yellow spots separated from the others.It is a small anuran that does not exceed 6 cm in length.
