Gazella de Blainville,1816 is the genus that includes the largest number of species of the subfamily of the Antilopins.The genus of smaller gazelles belong to this genus,weighing about 15-32 kg,with slender body and legs and a straight back or slightly higher on the rump.The horns,generally present in both sexes,have variable length,and can be almost straight,or arcuate in the shape of S,and furrowed by deep corrugations.The head is small,with a thin snout;the eyes are quite large,the facial glands are well developed and very sunken.The coat color is generally the same in both sexes.
