(Naemorhedus griseus)
The goral of China is covered with a gray-brown fur, with a dark line along the back and a lighter region on the throat. The males possess a short mane on the neck, which can be erected at will, and relatively large ears. The horns, present in both males and females, are slightly bent backwards and relatively short. In appearance it is very reminiscent of the oldest Caprini, and, like all species of this subfamily, has a squat body suitable for a lifestyle based on climbing.
