Description

Grant's gazelle measures 95-150 cm in length,85-92 cm in height at the withers and weighs 55-85 kg.It has very long horns (30-43 cm in the female and 50-80 cm in the male) tablets laterally and with 20-30 rings.The shape of the horns and the color of the hair are variable.In the subspecies N.g.robertsi the horns are very long,facing backwards and then almost horizontal outside with the points facing downwards.In N.g.grants the lyre-shaped horns are curved backwards and on the outside with internally hooked tips.N.g.brighti has simple lyre- like horns directed upwards.The color of the hair is isabella or brown-red more or less clear,but in N.g.noted and in N.g.petersii the rump is dark brown and the black band on the sides is always present;in the other subspecies the band is brown and tends to disappear with age,especially in males.The buttocks are almost always adorned with brown or black.The forehead is reddish and the stain on the nose is black;the two white stripes form a ring around the eyes and a black,often not very evident line goes from the top of the eye to the nose.He is not sure if he has inguinal glands.It can run up to speeds of 80-90 km / h
