Description

The island's south Kokako ( kōkako ( Gmelin,1788 ) ) is a bird probably extinct of family callaeidae,spread to New Zealand.It differed from the kokako of the North Island,( C.wilsoni ) based on the color of the wattles,which are almost entirely orange,with a small blue spot at the base.
