Description

The Mico acariensis is a species of the genus Amazone-oeistiti's ( Mico ).The scientific name of the species was validly published for the first time by M.van Roosmalen,T.van Roosmalen,RA Mittermeier & Rylands in 2000.The marmoset of the Acarí River ( Mico acariensis ) is a species of primate platirrino of the family Callitrichidae that lives in Brazil.As the name suggests,this species has expanded from the west bank of the Acarí river to the Aripuana and Juruena rivers.It prefers fruit tree fields and cassava plantation fields.
