Description

Agouti gray top.Forearm and extremity of shiny golden-yellow limbs.Whitish chest.Greyish tail,buff agouti or blackish.Specimens of (S.b.luvialis) would be darker,but melanic individuals would exist throughout the range.Crown and preauricular spot blackish in both sexes (for S.b.Boliviensis),agouti in male and blackish in female (for S.b.Jaburuensis),agouti and dotted with black hairs in male and black or blackish agouti in the female (for S.b.peruviensis).Bushy ears.The arch above the eyes is of Roman type (rounded) whereas it is of Gothic type (in point) in the common saïmiri (S.sciureus).Young males are 6 to 8 years old,slender and slender;the males in the prime of life are between 8 and 12 years old,they are the most physically full;old males (over 12 years old) are sometimes thin,have a steep gait and their forehead is graying.
