Description

Cercocebus torquatus is an Old World monkey of the subfamily Cercopithecinae and genus Cercocebus.Cercocebus atys has already been included as a subspecies,but is currently monotypic.C torquatus has a gray coat with a reddish hood on the head and a white collar on the neck.The ear is black and the eyelids are white.It has a tail of dark gray color that exceeds the length of the body.It has long molars and large incisors.Males weigh on average between 9 and 10 kg and females between 7.5 and 8.6 kg.Males are between 47 and 67 cm in length and females between 45 and 60 cm.
