Grizzled leaf monkey

Description

The gray Java prebite ( Presbytis comata ( Desmarest,1838 ) ) is an Old World monkey endemic to the island of Java in Indonesia.It has a small,slender face and tail and a large rounded belly.Like the other Colobini,this species has a sacculated stomach with areas in which bacteria are present which allow the cellulose contained in the leaves it feeds to be decomposed.Its color varies from dark gray to white.
