Description

Chaetodon nigropunctatus is a ray-finned species of fish from the family of coral butterflies (Chaetodontidae).The scientific name of the species was first validly published in 1880 by Sauvage.The species is on the Red List of the IUCN as no threat,assessment year 2009.The size of the population is stable according to the IUCN.
