Description

Furcifer antimena is a lizard from the Chameleon family (Chamaeleonidae).The species was first scientifically described by Alfred Grandidier in 1872.Originally,the scientific name Chamaeleo antimena (Grandidier,1872) was used and later the name Chamaeleon rhinoceratus lineatus (Methuen & Hewitt,1913).This chameleon can reach a length of about 22 cm.The livery is light green in males,darker in females.The males have a pronounced dorsal crest and a 5-6 mm long nasal horn.
