Description

Pristimantis bacchus is a species of frogs in the family Craugastoridae, sometimes known as the wine robber frog. It is endemic to the western slopes of the Cordillera Oriental in the Santander Department, Colombia. Its natural habitat is tropical cloud forests at elevations of 1,450–2,300 m (4,760–7,550 ft) above sea level. It occurs on vegetation in the undergrowth. However, it can also be found at forest edges and shrubs in pastures. It is threatened by habitat loss caused by agriculture and cattle ranching.
