Description

Arborimus pomo is a mammalian species described by Johnson and George 1991.Arborimus pomo is part of the genus Arborimus and the family hamster-like rodents.The IUCN categorizes the species globally as close to threatened.No subspecies are listed.This rodents occur in the western United States of California north of San Francisco.It lives there in evergreen forests with many douglas trees ( Pseudotsuga menziesii ).The species builds bones of plant parts placed in the cavities of the trees or on branches.It also uses empty birds of birds or squirrels.Honor can be enjoyed all year long and usually has two litters per year.The gestation lasts 27 to 48 days and then 2 to 5 kids are born,usually twins.After 25 to 45 days the female ends with digivation.The food consists mainly of barrels from douglasgran or other coniferous trees.In addition,the species eats bark and twigs.The natural enemies of the gnagar are owls,raccoons and fishmongers.
