Aphanius iberus is a ray-finned fish species from the family of egg-laying tooth carps (Cyprinodontidae).The scientific name of the species is validly published for the first time in 1846 by Valenciennes.The species is on the Red List of the IUCN as Endangered,assessment year 2006.According to the IUCN,the size of the population is decreasing.
