Description

The Sinhalesh hummingbird is a very small but stubby bird.It measures about 10 cm long,has a short tail and a short beak,thick and curved down,and a tubular tongue.This last characteristic reflects the importance of nectar in your diet.The male has the plumage of the bluish-black upper parts,the white throat and upper chest and the rest of the lower yellow parts.The female is less showy,has the upper parts olive brown and the yellow of its lower parts is a less intense tone.
