Monodelphis sorex is a mustard species first described by Reinhold Friedrich Hensel in 1872.Monodelphis sorex is part of the genus Pungebucks and Family Puffrots.No subspecies are listed.The vertebrate occurs in south-eastern Brazil,southern paraguay and northeastern Argentina.The species is not listed by IUCN.
