Texas map turtle

Description

The Texas geographic turtle ( Graptemys versa ( Stejneger,1925 ) ) is an aquatic turtle from the Emydidae family.These are aquatic turtles that rarely venture onto the mainland except for spawning.The dimensions vary according to the sex: in adult specimens they can go from 8 to 10 cm for the males,from 12 to 15 cm for the females,but in captivity they hardly reach such dimensions.
