Christmas frigatebird

Description

The Christmas frigate is 89-100 cm long,has a wingspan of 206-230 cm,and weighs around 1500 g.[ citation needed ] The female is a little bigger than the male.As for the other frigates,the plumage is almost entirely black for both sexes except for the neck and the beak.The first is greyish-white and the color extends to the chest and the axillary area in females,while in males the white is mostly covered by the red goblet.The beaks instead are pink in females and gray in males.On the upper part of the wings there are lighter bands.The young have a light yellow head,a bluish beak and a brown livery.
