The common dormouse or careto ( garden dormouse ) is a species of rodent esciuromorfo of family Gliridae.It is a small rodent that presents the morphological characteristics of the rest of dormouse.It is one of the smallest species most characteristic of the Spanish fauna scene because it is present throughout the territory with a high density of population,although the number of specimens is decreasing in recent times
