Giant antpitta

Description

The giant tororoí (in Colombia) (Grallaria gigantea),also known as giant chululú or giant gralaria (in Ecuador),is a species of passerine bird belonging to the numerous genus Grallaria of the family Grallariidae,previously included in Formicariidae.rare and somewhat enigmatic,lives only in Colombia and Ecuador.It is presumably a close relative of the similar tororoí ondoso,G.squamigera,which breeds further south.It has three subspecies,one of which may be extinct.
