Description

The tororoí jocotoco or chululú hocotoco ( Grallaria ridgelyi ),is a species of passerine bird belonging to the numerous genus Grallaria of the family Grallariidae,previously included in Formicariidae.Found in Ecuador and Peru.It was discovered in 1997,and scientifically described in 1999.It measures 22 cm in length.It has a black crown;face almost completely dark gray,except for his white mustache;back grayish brown,with ferruginous tints on the wings and black stripes on the back and shoulders;the lower parts are whitish gray.The iris is reddish,the bill black and the legs gray.
