Description

The Baird's beaked whale measures 12-13 m in length and weighs between 10 and 11 tonnes.It has an elongated body,almost tubular.It has a long and prominent snout.The lower jaw is longer than the upper jaw,and the front teeth are visible even when the mouth is fully closed.The melon is particularly bulbous.There is little sexual dimorphism in this species.The males reach 84 years and the females at 54 years
