Atlas dwarf lizard

Description

Atlantolacerta andreanskyi is a lizard from the family real lizards (Lacertidae).It is the only species from the monotypic genus Atlantolacerta.Atlantolacerta andreanskyi was first scientifically described by Franz Werner in 1929.Originally,the name Lacerta rupicola was used.The species belonged to the genus Teira for a long time,so the obsolete scientific name is used in the literature.The species occurs in parts of northern Africa and is endemic in Morocco.
