Description

Pseudopaludicola llanera (common name: Lynch’s swamp frog; Spanish: ranita enana llanera) is a species of frog in the family Leptodactylidae. It is found in the Los Llanos in Amazon and Orinoco basins in northeastern Colombia and northern Venezuela. It is mostly found at altitudes below 800 m (2,600 ft), but there is one record from Cerro Corocoro (Venezuela) at 1,220 m (4,000 ft) above sea level. The specific name llanera is Spanish word for a female inhabitant of the Los Llanos.
