Description

The Macroscelide reddish or elephant shrew spectacled ( rufous elephant shrew,Peters,1878 ) is a mammal of the family of the elephant shrew.The legs are long and thin and the hind legs are longer than the front ones.It has a soft,fluffy fur that is sandy or gray on the dorsal side and whitish or light gray on the ventral side.The snout is long and mobile like in all the species of the family
